Safety is a fundamental value at Air Liquide Engineering & Construction. It is an integral part of our operational excellence and culture and we are committed to efficiently and under all circumstances reducing the exposure of employees, our business partners, local communities and any other stakeholders to occupational and industrial risks.
Safety of employees
Employees, regardless if our own or contractors, are guided by Air Liquide Group 12 “Life-Saving Rules” on which there is no compromise and which are framed by the Industrial Management System (IMS) of the Group.
Under our Safety Leadership initiative, safety meetings are organized on a regular basis between employees and their managers on site to exchange on the various safety subjects at the heart of their daily work.
Internally, various HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) topics are shared to maintain vigilance, share good practices and initiatives from certain entities, and provide feedback on safety events to share lessons learned and prevent their recurrence.
The IMS is continually improving how industrial activities are managed within Air Liquide Engineering & Construction. As a result of employees’ commitment to safety, respect for the environment and reliability, this system helps strive towards operational excellence by continuously reducing process safety incidents. Its implementation is regularly assessed by specific IMS internal audits.
Air Liquide Engineering & Construction has a road safety goal to eliminate all road accidents and incidents involving employees and contractors driving on our behalf, regardless of the location or type of vehicle used, as part of their work activity or for commuting.
We expect employees and contractors’ drivers to do all in their power to protect their own safety and that of other road users, to demonstrate safe, defensive driving and good road safety practices, and to act as responsible custodians of the vehicles in their charge.
Our focus on Quality
Quality is one of the main levers to increase our operational competitiveness and is a central component of our long-term strategy. Implementing effective quality systems and controls is one of our key commitments to our customers. Quality is foundational and must be part of everything we do, all our actions and behaviors in our daily work.

Quality is measured not only through the level of customer satisfaction, but also the number of non-conformity reports. “Auto quality control” also enables collaborators to detect and correct any potential issues that could be created.
This approach has been refined by our quality experts and is applied to every discipline and product as an integral and dynamic part of our processes.
Furthermore, we’ve implemented a Business Process Management System (BPMS) on a global level upon which our processes are based. All Engineering Centers are ISO certified and work in line with these processes.
