Steam Methane Reforming Plant, Germany

At Air Liquide’s site in Dormagen, Germany, we built a unit to supply carbon monoxide and hydrogen to a neighboring polymer plant.

Air Liquide Engineering & Construction provided a Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) unit. It has an annual production capacity of 22 000 tons of hydrogen and 120 000 tons of carbon monoxide. It offers high flexibility between the co-product production rates, and variable carbon-dioxide recycling.
