Hydrogen Plant, Saudi Arabia

Air Liquide Engineering & Construction built world-scale hydrogen production and purification units for Air Liquide Arabia’s site at Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The plant supplies hydrogen “over the fence” to the nearby oil refinery, which has a capacity of 400 000 barrels per day. Hydrogen will allow the reduction of the sulfur content of the produced fuels, and meet the environmental standards for cleaner transportation fuels.

Air Liquide Engineering & Construction provided two global-scale hydrogen production units and one purification unit. The site has a total hydrogen capacity of 340,000 Normal cubic meters per hour (Nm³/hour).
