Lurgi Zimmer contracts PA 6 project in China

Lurgi Zimmer GmbH, a company of Lurgi GmbH, Frankfurt/Germany, has been awarded the contract to supply its state of the art polyamide 6 technology for Tianjin Haijing Polymerization Co., Ltd., P.R. China. Polyamide is a widely used polymer for sophisticated textile applications and engineering plastics. Tianjin Haijing Polymerization Co., Ltd., is a well-established company and a division of the Tianjin Changlu Haijing Group, located in Tianjin.

This new production plant, which features the tried and tested two-stage Zimmer® PA6 polymerization technology including a lactam water recovery, has a capacity of 100 t/d high quality chips for textile and engineering plastics end use. The plant will be built in Tianjin and will go on stream in 2009. The order value  as not disclosed.

Lurgi Zimmer will provide the technology, engineering, procurement of equipment, and supervision services.
