Maintaining exact pressure in propellant tanks is critical for the stability and performance of space launchers. Air Liquide’s mechanical Gas Pressure Regulators (GPR) are designed to bridge the high-pressure helium (He HP) storage and the low-pressure (LP) propellant tanks. By ensuring a highly controlled and continuous flow, our products guarantee reliable pressurization across all launch phases.

Small Gas Pressure Regulator GPR-S
- Architecture: Single-stage regulation.
- Performance: Mass flow rate of 4g/s with a regulated pressure of 31.4 bar.
- Mass & Maturity: Ultra-lightweight at < 1.7kg, currently at TRL 6.
Medium Gas Pressure Regulator GPR-M
- Architecture: Double-stage regulation.
- Performance: Mass flow rate up to 29g/s with a regulated pressure of 20.74 bar.
- Mass & Maturity: Weighs < 5kg, currently at TRL 7.
Large Gas Pressure Regulator GPR-L
- Architecture: Double-stage regulation
- Performance: High-capacity mass flow rate from 0.5g/s up to 170g/s.
- Mass & Maturity: Flight-proven at TRL 9, weighing < 9kg (GPR-L)
- Optionally: can integrate a filter, pressure transducer, and check/relief valves
